3 Signs You Need An Audit

There are three common signs that indicate changes are needed to maintain a healthy DTC business:

1. Broken Funnel

If your funnel is broken, audience exclusions might be missing, and you may be over-investing in retargeting while under-investing in new customer acquisition.

Signs:

  • • Holistic goals are being missed, despite a strong in-platform ROAS
  • • Returning customers make up over 50% of revenue (unless your sales are subscription-based)
  • • In-platform ROAS is strong while the cost of impressions and clicks are high
  • • Paid social CVR (both in-platform and Google Analytics by source / medium) is high, or is similar to paid search
    • Website CVR is low due to unqualified traffic
    • Acquisition receives 70% or less of the overall budget

2. Data + Strategy Misalignment

If you don't understand the relationship between your customer types, channel performance, and product sales, then you may be prioritizing the wrong strategy. For optimal growth, your marketing initiatives must be guided by your KPIs (AOV, LTV, CAC, ROAS).
